Sea Gull InformationSea gulls are birds of the Laridae family. They have a long bill, webbed feet and long wings. Gulls range in size depending on the species. They are between 11 and 30 inches long. The most representative species include: the Great Black-backed Gull, Herring Gull, Laughing Gull and Ring-billed Gull. The Herring Gull (Larus argentatus) is the best known of all gulls along the shores of Asia, western Europe, and North America. Sea gulls have been associated with sea coasts for a long time. But recently, they started to move near urban areas and are often considered pests.
